Classic car fusion is excited to offer this immaculately restored 1967 Shelby GT-500 Mustang Fastback with a 428 8v Cobra LeMans Police Interceptor big block and a 4-speed manual transmission.  Number #1302 in the Shelby registry.

The gorgeous Wimbledon White paint is like new thanks to a very recent full rotisserie restoration undertaken in January of 2013. From the engine bay to the undercarriage, the wheel wells to the trunk, no piece was left unrestored or unpainted.

The undisputed king of Ford musclecars came with a host of performance upgrades included in the base price for the GT500. This includes a competition handling package, integral roll bar, tachometer with trip odometer, oil pressure and ammeter gauge, extra cooling package, deluxe interior, deluxe woodgrain GT500 Cobra steering wheel, and remote controlled outside rear view mirrors.

This particular GT500 was preordered from the dealership in November 1966 with a few extra performance options including power disc brakes, power steering, a 4 point shoulder harnesses, fold down rear seats, Thermactor exhaust system, radio, and Parchment Décor front bucket seats.

The 7 liter dual quad 428 lump pushes close to 500hp despite the comically low horsepower rating of the late 60’s at only 335hp to pass regulations.  With more than enough power to light up the tires wherever you go, this is a great opportunity to own a piece of Shelby history, and one of the most beautiful and coveted American muscle cars every built.
